The group will take the scenic High Road to Taos with a stop in the old Spanish village of Chimayo where they will encounter the centuries old art of weaving. The group will then experience the culture epitomized by the Santurio de Chimayo—one of the most important U.S. Catholic pilgrimage sites because of the miracles attributed to the soil beneath the church. This adventure’s highlight will include a visit to the Taos Pueblo, a United Nations World Heritage Site. This ancient Native American village has been continuously occupied for over 1,000 years. The group will also have time to enjoy the many intimate shops and art galleries within Taos. (full day)
